With the development of biotechnology, DNA molecular marker technology is widely used in grapevine rootstocks improvement. In this paper, the application of grapevine rootstock improvements was reviewed in identifying grapevine rootstock cultivars, pedigree analysis and constructing the genetic map and the physical map. In addition, the application prospect of molecular marker technology in grapevine rootstocks is presented.
