The Triticeae plants distributed in the some areas of Shaanxi and Ningxia were investigated and collected in October 2002. A total of 145 populations involving 16 species of 6 genera were collected. Each species and its populations collected were analyzed for distribution areas, habitat, elevation and 2n chromosome number. Furthermore, some issues such as utilization of collections, basic unit of investigation and collecting, and conservation of Triticeae were discussed.
