Abstract:The functional markers of 11 blast resistance genes, including Pi2, Piz-t, Pi9, Pi25, Pi5, Pita, Pia, Ptr, Pi1, Pikm, and Pi54 were used to detect the genotype of the above genes of the newly developed 90 indica rice varieties from south China. The results showed that 0, 3, 35, 38, and 0 varieties exhibited high-resistance, resistance, mid-resistance, mid-susceptive, susceptive, and high-susceptive comprehensive resistance levels, respectively. The results were consistent among years. The correlation among different detection stages further suggested significant positive correlations between seedling blast and leaf blast (r=0.765,P<0.01), seedling blast and neck blast(r=0.571,P<0.01), leaf blast and neck blast(r=0.535,P<0.01). Results also showed that exception of Pi9, the frequency of other 10 R in the 90 rice varieties were 75.56%(Pi54)、70.0%(Pi5)、47.78%(Pi2)、31.11%(Pi25 and Pia)、20%(Ptr)、15.56%(Pi1)、13.32%(Pita)、4.44%(Pikm)and 1.11%(Piz-t), respectively. The current study has provided a basis for the rational distribution of resistant conventional indica rice varieties with different genotypes in South China.
